Town Planning
Our portfolio of Professional work falls under three main headings: Planning Management (advice on Planning Applications / Planning Appeals); Strategic Planning / Development Plans (Advice on Local Plans and Neighbourhood Plans); and Other Matters (advice on Regional / Sub-Regional Planning, Area Action Plans and Planning Briefs etc).
In terms of Planning Management, advice to Clients has been given relative to landholdings in most of the West Midlands Metropolitan and Shire Districts in the last few years.
Development Management, ie Planning Applications and Planning Appeals, advice on Applications over the last few years has involved Residential, Commercial and Leisure, as well as Football Training Grounds and Recording Studios. This is very much in response to particular Client’s requirements or matters that have been referred to us by other Consultants or Organisations.
Development Agency
Since the 1980's we have provided development advice on a range of projects principally residential and also some commercial and industrial developments. Development advice follows on logically from the seeking and obtaining of appropriate planning permissions. Maximising the return and value of land is vital to the completion of the project.
In many instances, once planning permission has been obtained, we have been instructed to dispose of the land in an open and competitive way seeking the best offers. Whilst this Agency role has principally been in the West Midlands, and particuarly Sutton Coldfield, we have recently disposed of a parcel of land with planning permission for residential development in Sunbury-on-Thames.
Understanding and capitalising on appropriate market conditions is a key factor in the processs.
